This is my first attempt at wearing mixed prints online, I feel it's pretty successful. I kept the outfit pretty safe - no major color variations. A simple striped top paired with a blotchy pattern skirt was all it took. I love how the complex patterns still lend a sense of simplicity with its matching color tones. For Halloween I wanted a costume that people wore in the past before the packaged costumes that are consumed by masses today. After a little research I came upon the Pierrotte, a sad clown that was used as a stock character of mime and Commedia dell'Arte.
