Asymmetrical Belt

I love how the asymmetrical belt completely turns this look on its head. This woven belt doesn't have a belt loop, so initially I had attached a hair elastic to serve as a belt loop. But somehow the belt just wasn't landing right...until I unfastened it and let it hang naturally! This is what I like to call accidental genius! The belt cutting across at a 45 degree angle is unexpected and brings a twist to an otherwise simple outfit. I bought this skirt at Abercrombie and Fitch a few years ago, and have been waiting for the right time to bust it out. The leggings allow this short skirt to be work-appropriate, and the collared shirt keeps me warm, and adds a professional flair to this otherwise casual, summery look. STYLEFYLES.TUMBLR.COM

Team America

What can be more American than a blue sear-sucker style jacket, a red belt that pops and a crisp white white pleated skirt? Take away those Chinese Laundry shoes, and I'm America, through and through. Happy Independence Day! stylefyles.tumblr.com
