Since it was such a hot day I knew the halter dress had to be broke out but I wanted to add a springy vibe to it so after several accesories being thrown around I decided to go for my multi-functional scarf/shawl & added the pink shoes to match the scarf. I love this outfit because the dress by itself is great but add the scarf & it can go from day to night in a flash.
After working all day I decided to hang out with a girlfriend and was way too tired to be creative and this is what I came up with. I love the soft ruffled layers and wanted to mix it up a bit so I added the cute heart belt, brown heels (so comfy) and my new cuff that I bought at Goodwill this past weekend.
I am so OBSESSED with these boots! Yes, I know it’s summer but it’s hard finding comfortable flats..especially when my commute involves a lot of walking in the Time Square and Grand Central terminal..up and down..up and down. The longer I live in New York the less I am wearing my heels. Now when I go out on the weekends..that’s a different story. My inspiration for this outfit is from the book I have been reading, I’m With The Band: Confessions Of A Groupie. No, I’m not a hippie or a groupie but I really love the style of that era which is also why I decided to wear my hair down today and didn’t even run a brush through it.
