Textures, layers, and certainly colours! One of the downfalls of menswear is that it tends to sway toward dark colours, neutrals, and a complete LACK of colour. While greys, blacks and browns are undoubtably a staple of a proper menswear ensemble, mixing in a few key pops of colour really pulls the look into something wearable and eye-catching.
Menswear is all about texture for me. Leather. Silk. Linen. Tweed. It's about layers and suiting and silhouettes. Fit is ultra important to maintain some shape, and not appear to be floating in oversized clothes. I made these grey slacks, and the purple-check cape last fall, but have never worn them together until now!
