So I was called back for the part of a French woman in the loveliest and most confusing little political play called "Marat/Sade". Simmone is an inpatient at an asylum playing a revolutionary in a reenactment. I usually try to dress a bit for the part at callbacks. This is what I got...
When I put together an outfit, I look outside the window to the outdoor atmosphere. Right now, we're in the full blown beauty of autumn, and so I felt inspired. The scarf is very large, so I thought I'd wrap myself in it, like a cardigan but it had a hard time staying up so the solution of belting it worked perfectly and also found itself to be really stylish too! The tights really pulled it all together to add another pattern. I love mixing patterns. My favorite and cheapest solution to mixing up outfits are with scarves, tights and belts. You can never have enough of those items!
Sorry I have been MIA for like 10 days... my computer blew up (ok, ok, so I dropped it. hard.) Anyway, the nerds took it for a week and now it is fixed - yay! So I'll have to do double daily outfit shots all week to catch up! Dress - thrifted Converse SAMPLE Bead necklaces - thrifted Skull necklace - Disney Couture Shoes - thrifted Nine West
I'm wearing my best pair of trousers by Dolce & Gabbana. The slim fit keeps it young while the material feels luxurious. Anything with a tag "Made in Italy" never lets me down! And I cannot believe I scored this blazer at Forever 21. I knew that one day they would come out with the perfect blazer on the cheap! It had the word "Amazing" written all over it so I grabbed the last one in my size. Tailored to perfection indeed!! xoxo, natalieoffduty.blogspot.com
