today on weardrobe

WHO'S WEARING WHAT

This is my favourite outfit for warm, sunny summer days! I got the hat for only €5 at the H&M summer sale, and the jewellery was a gift form the lovely ladies at Les Jumelles Boutique.

This is what I wore to the Weardobe meet up last Tuesday! So much fun and it was so great to meet fellow weardrobers.

Went out with a great friend to a cool little vegan spot in the East Village, Angelica's Kitchen, thrifting (we just happened upon it), and yummy wine at a local dive bar (Shade). I haven't worn my hair curly in a while. Whatcha think??

I never thought I could look good in a blazer. sure I tried a few, but it never felt right. until I found this one. I think it had me with the cute flower print fabric in the cuff and lining. I can't wait to get full use out of it in the fall with flouncy dresses and denim. for now it's best suited for working indoors with AC!

I love this BB Dakota dress I got from Modcloth- it makes me feel like a princess. It was the perfect outfit to wear to my art show opening.

The Grotto in Portland is sort of a hidden gem, a weird foresty religious sanctuary with lots of statues and beautiful plants. It is really relaxing and mellow, I love all the plants! This dress has an amazing folklore-inspired print with weird deer-like animals on it, it's basically a perfect print. I love it.

These LA mornings have been fraught with June Gloom, but today I slipped into summertime with this picnic-inspired look. Double Indemnity is my favorite movie from the ’40s, and this outfit makes me want to hop in a convertible and drive the windy canyon roads with Fred Macmurry (were he still alive). In other news, this top (thrifted from the Thank You Mart in Westwood) was made in Mexico. The tags are written in Spanish. I believe it says "Estilido de Mexico" And I didn't even have to cross the border! Very fun! There's more at my blog, for those interested:

Love this picture and felt totally glam in this outfit! The skirt is supposed to have a fold-over waistband, but I very much prefer to wear it as a high waist.

On this day, I was every bit the lady. The tiered skirt (6$ at Value village -what a find!!!) reminds me of a tulip, so it was fitting to pair it with these adorable floral, ruffled, and pearled heels. (close up photo of the shoes follows)

This skirt feels so hippy to me, but of course I prepped it up with a polo and jacket!

Since I was a little girl, I have dreamed of taking pictures in a grassy green park with huge colorful balloons. I used these pictures for my blog launch.

This was my aunt's dress. She's worn it ever since I can remember (like, I have pictures of her in it from when I was FIVE) and when she passed away a few years ago, it was given to me. It might seem morbid but I always thought she looked so beautiful in it and wearing it always reminds me of her. :) She was a lot shorter than I am so I had to alter it a little.

I think I've had these jeans for about 3 years? They started off a really dark blue, but of course have faded. Through general wear and tear they ripped the other day so i seized the opportunity to give them another little transformation and jump on the ripped jeans bandwaggon. For my top half i experimented with two pale muted tones together, and i quite liked the effect.
